Viator is latin for voyager. Each piece I create is a journey. I dive into shape and form as each sculpture emerges through the coiling and carving process of hand building. The sculptures reveal themselves to me in shifting from and merging and meeting lines.

Fired in the lower front of an anagama kiln this piece is naturally glazed over a four day firing with a continual coating of fine ash particles washing over the form and melting into the surface of the sculpture.
